The walleye fishing conditions are
moderate. The walleye being caught are
respectable -- 15 to 18 inches.
The lack of weeds is hindering fishing on most area lakes, but schools of walleyes are patrolling the shallows during foraging runs. Look for them around points and drops in 8-15 feet of water.
The water temperature is
60 degrees farenheit.
The fishing is good all day. The fish are generally being caught
at North Flag Pole, South Flat, North West Basin and North East Hole. The fish are being caught in water depths of
less than 10 ft., 10 to 20 ft. The water clarity is
clear. The most effective lures being used are
Live Bait -- Suckers or shiners, Minnow Imitators -- natural or chartuese and white, Shad Raps -- , Jigs -- . |
